![]() So a case (albeit weak and theoretical) CAN be made for real-time data communication with dived subs. The ability to relay spotting data to its team should be removed from submarines while they are submerged.Īs others have said, submerged communication IS possible (with the restrictions they have outlined). Submerged submarines could not, and even to this day cannot, communicate with the outside world while submerged. You can tell the difference between random shots and very specifically targeted ones. ![]() Now if they want to guess where the enemy ship is blind just like some people shoot in smoke trying to hit people that is fine. Furthermore, the Dutch cruisers were able to very specifically target the BB with air drops. I have also seen a Flamu video where he was in a BB hiding behind an island from the entire surface fleet of the enemy and was spotted by a submerged sub and the sub had two DDs trying to find and kill it. I totally agree that they should be allowed to while surfaced or at periscope depth. Yes the subs should not be able to spot for the entire team while submerged. I was trying to heal up with the CL, but was deleted with the detected symbol up and shot at (targeted) by 5 enemy ships. No surface ships were within 8 Km of me but for sure not within the 5 Km range of my hydro. ![]() In the CL, I even had my hydro on looking for torps and I never spotted the sub. This has happened while I have been playing a DD and a CL. ![]() I have been spotted inside smoke without firing and shot at by everyone on the enemy team that could multiple times all because of a submerged sub. Try to get close enough to press G and you will be spotted and ravaged by the enemy team. Double ping you inside smoke while undetected and those torps will home until damn near impact. ![]()
